A well-hidden legacy pit, the Drake pit was a bit over a hectare in size and would require 6500m3 of material movement. Stripping the adjacent old field provided the organics for the topdressing of the site. Those soils also held a great deal of meadow seeds that helped supplement the hydroseeding done on the site.
