This 1 ha pit was located off Bruce County Road 9 and was extremely accessible and visible. The legacy pit was a fairly deep site, approximately 9 meters deep, with straight vertical walls on three sides. Moving over 31,000m3 of material from the north and south ends of the pit, the contractor was able to create a relatively gentle 8:1 slope.
